Carolina Dreams was built in 1986 in Bias Shores, a family owned subdivision that has been around since 1935. The home was the residence of Elizabeth City State University's President, John Bias I. The home was used to entertain family and friends for all celebrations. There has been elegant teas by the beach to "down home" barbeques at Carolina Dreams. Celebrity guests include Alex Haley, Ed "Too Tall" Jones from the Dallas Cowboys, ReRun from the 70's sitcom, "What's Happening", state senators and other politicians. The home was renovated in 2003. At that time it was made a vacation home for all to enjoy.
